Well, tonight myself and Andrew have been laying down vocals for our most recent demos. It’s taken us a while but we’re almost finished. We had a listen back to some mixes and they’re sounding pretty good. “Pretty, pretty good.”
We spent most of our time recording drums and guitars at our own jam room and The Last Republic (see our links page) have also lent us their space when Gaz needed to be extra loud (thanks guys).

Over the next couple of weeks Andy, Marc and myself will be finishing the vocals and then we’ll have a complete set of demos ready for the next album. Tonight we’ve been using Moongazer’s (see our links page) rehearsal space for laying down the vocals.
Special thanks goes out to Nigel Davies, who also showed us how his gas heater works, I spent the best part of half hour trying to switch it on instead of setting up the mics, then Andy burned his leg! But other than that, he did have a very productive night as you can see…

All we’ve got to do next, is pick 10+ songs for the album, it’s not gonna be easy as we’ve never had so many songs ready for our next release. I’ve got an idea of what I’d like to be on there but we’re all gonna have to come to a group decision, we’ve always managed when it comes to stuff like that though.
On another note, earlier this week we were asked by a fan if there was anywhere they could get Road Out Of Nowhere, it got me thinking and after a bit of digging, Andy came across half a dozen copies or so.
.
They’re not for sale anymore BUT if you can guess how many demos have we recorded for our next album? (or get the closest guess), we’ll send you one in the post! I’ll start by giving you a clue, it’s not 104…
Leave your answer below as a comment, you can comment as many times as you like but your first guess counts! I’ll announce the winner on Tuesday (26th Jan 2010).
